Only 18 and already times running out. Only 18 and suddenly living without any sense of direction. Can't make a selection with my entire life on the line, but I'll be fine. Just put it off. There's always time to grow up later like when I'm dead. I'd rather make the choice not to make a single choice than have them cluttering my head cause I have better things to do than sit around and wallow through a list of paths I will reject. In this life there's more that I expect. Who needs to know where he's going when he likes where he is? I can't see better things than being here with all of my friends. When there's a will there's a way. At this point my will is this: that this will be the summer that we'll never forget. Only 18 years I've been around and I think I've done less harm than good, and now that I am having fun I've come into this brotherhood with all of you. So don't stop now there's so much time left in the day; and even when the sun goes down, right in this moment we will stay.

Call my phone cause it’s summer, and I'm done with this year. I've been so stressed that I can hardly find the words just to hear, but something's coming that will help us all to calm all our fears. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's closer and closer. Just a feeling that I'm having, and I'm never letting go. There's a time and place for me to be. That much I know. I've never been so sure of anything in my life, and now we're gonna take this where we want it to go. This is our prime, our season, and our time. Can you hear the voices calling? Can you hear the bells and chimes? They are calling out to people who are looking to be something more than what they would ever imagine they could. This time my friends and I, we're getting out alive; and we're all feeling fine now that we are in control of our lives and our rides. I hope you're on our side. Now that we know we're right, we're rising to the top of the world. Short days are over. Now the long trips begin. We'll start to dream much deeper cause we're sleeping in; and when we wake from our slumber and the world is too much, we'll find our strength in our numbers cause we'll never ever be on our own.

We're the kids in parking lots right before dawn. Hopelessness is the one crutch we have to lean on. We're the horses out the gate who never stood a chance, but you put a dollar on us cause we look nice at first glance. Shoulda paid attention cause we're not that smart. Shoulda read the book about our broken hearts. Probably should have lit the cannons when you saw the whites of our eyes. Never should've come here. We're the things that you fear. One step more and you're in the dark. Never should've come here. We're the things that you fear. Never mess around with the kids who are falling apart. We're the kids without a care for high class shopping malls. We're content with movies and arcades and prank phone calls. We have never found a joy in anything you love because we don't have the cash, not even close to enough. Step back now before you hit the ground, or you will have to face us. We are in last place.

I never wanted second best. I never wanted more than this; and when I said I changed my mind, the summer simply came and went. And now I'm taking all my time trying to sort my truths and lies, trying to find out who I am. They say it happens all the time. We're the kids with hopeless hearts gazing up under a million stars, but we don’t see the light shining on who we are. When we're trying to figure us out we look too damn far. I never thought it through before. Didn't want to open that door. Didn't want to face myself. I knew that I would just want more. And even if we feel on top, the time has come for us to stop. Even if we rise again, it hurts to see this summer end. Look out.

Moving On 04:48
I never really thought that much about it way back when. One month to go and then I'm leaving all of my friends. I had good times but it doesn't outweigh my urge to forget the bad times we’ve had this year. And trust me this means the world to me, and I know that you know how fast the time went from where we started to where we are right now. But the weight of time is still on my shoulders, facing the facts that we’re all getting older. I'm looking for a new start, and maybe next year I'll be better and get my act together and be the person that I know that I can be for everyone that stays close to me. My parents always told me that the future was so bright, so focused on every disaster that I didn’t see what was right. Now you have me looking at this in a brand new light. Less of a loss, more of a new chapter that I’m ready to read now that I’ve learned to breathe. Less scared and more accepting. This is the last time that I’ll be afraid. Next summer I know I’ll be better than I would be, than I could be, than I am if things stayed the same. I can’t get out of my bed without seeing another thing is changing right before my eyes. And I still think that I’m ready we both know that I’m not because I’m still trying to live my life. But no part of me thought this summer would fly by so fast, and I’m here now thinking about how the days came and past and I know we all wish the days would last forever. It had to end sooner or later.

about

We worked really hard on this EP. We home-recorded it, and we are very proud of it. The EP tells the story of this summer, the summer before we have to take a break for college. We hope that you enjoy it.
