We're the kids in parking lots right before dawn. Hopelessness is the one crutch we have to lean on. We're the horses out the gate who never stood a chance, but you put a dollar on us cause we look nice at first glance.

Shoulda paid attention cause we're not that smart. Shoulda read the book about our broken hearts. Probably should have lit the cannons when you saw the whites of our eyes. Never should've come here.
